Founder & Creative Director
Tin Yen has impressive credentials, both as a Creative Director and design instructor. With more than 23 years of experience as a communications and graphic design expert, Tin’s work has been recognized by a number of leading design and Web associations. He began his career working for renowned designer Saul Bass of Bass/Yager & Associates developing logos, packaging and promotional materials for companies such as AT&T, British Petroleum and Lawry’s. He later worked at White + Associates defining a specialty in branding, packaging and point-of-purchase materials. In 1996, Tin established TYS Creative and successfully built relationships with clients such as Epson, Mattel and Samsung. As the agency’s Creative Director, Tin is responsible for developing innovative branding and design solutions for both print and interactive media. Tin is a graduate of UCLA and is also an instructor at UCLA Extension Visual Arts.
Managing Creative Director
Charlie Shames has more than 20 years experience as a marketing professional and communications expert. In this capacity, he has completed a broad range of assignments, including developing interactive web sites, brochures, newsletters, print advertisements and radio commercials for Fox Sports, the NBA, NHL, NFL, Cardservice International, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Viacom Licensing. In addition to his extensive experience in the high-tech and entertainment industries, Charlie has developed both on- and offline advertising campaigns for a wide variety of clients in a multitude of fields, including business/finance, construction, real estate, consumer products, computer software, e-commerce, food & beverage, printing, public affairs and non-profit organizations. Charlie holds a bachelors degree in marketing from Drexel University and has published a number of articles in a variety of nationally recognized magazines and trade journals, including Billboard, Details, and License.
